GetCandy 2.0-beta9

Alec Ritson

We're super excited to announce the Demo store alongside this release. We've worked through a basic example of how you could implement GetCandy into your own Laravel storefront and provide you with a platform to kickstart development.

This comes with some demo data you can seed yourself and see within minutes the store up and running.

Here's an overview of what's included in this initial release...

Product collections

We've included some initial product collections so you can browse through the products in each one.

Basic search

We've added a basic search page that uses Meilisearch to bring fast, relevant products back to your users.

Product detail pages

What's a store without being able to view products and add them to your cart? We've added a product page complete with variant selection.

Add different variants to a cart in real-time, adjust quantities and update to see new totals appear instantly.

Once you've built the cart out, you can go through the provided checkout and place a test order. It will then be right there in the admin hub.

If you're keen to get started, then you can take a look at the repo and follow the steps to get it up and running yourself.

2.0-beta9 itself includes a handful of fixes and minor changes/additions to support the work that was done on the demo store. Thank you to all our contributors who have helped along the way.
